Saylor is having a small surgery on her eyes at the end of this week. Saylor has had blocked tear ducts since she was only a few months old. Her doctor described her teary eyes as if she’s opening up her eyes under water in a pool every single day 🥹I tried waiting as long as possible to make this decision since Brooklyn’s blocked tear ducts resolved on their own before 12 months old. We did all the things suggested before having to come to this decision. After more than a few appointments since she turned a year old, we came to this point. She is always rubbing and wiping her eyes. My fear is the greater risks that come with a blocked tear duct if we don’t proceed to fix it, which is possible infection, and a greater chance the tear ducts will become blocked again the longer we wait/older she gets. The doctors suggested fixing it before 18 months for the most successful outcome. So.. here we are ❤️

I realize kids and parents of sick children have it way worse than this and it’s such a short procedure with little to no recovery. However, my mama heart still hurts knowing what’s to come later this week. Until then just going to be watching her dance, love life and be the tough cookie she’s always been ❤️✨ she makes me so proud and happy to be her mommy.

Also, not sure whose rhythm she has..mine or Christian’s?! 💃🏼🕺
