Hi Balanced Beauties!

Happy October <3 My favorite month and birthday month! Thank you all for the birthday love and baby love. 28 looks a lot different than 27 in every single way, but I can not be more grateful for this little pumpkin growing inside of me.
I wanted to pop on here to talk about an update with pregnancy (25 weeks in), address some questions I’ve had through instagram regarding my belly bump (which I debuted a week ago on Instagram) and talk a little fashion.
Pregnancy Update:
25 weeks pregnant and things are progressing nicely, and most importantly, healthy! There are really good days where I have all the energy in the world and feel like a rock star, but also days where I am feeling more tired than ever and slightly defeated. Fear not, it’s all worth it!
I wanted to share one of my many pregnancy symptoms & experiences which has occurred since the start of this journey. I like to share the good parts and the real parts (key here is real, because there are no bad parts when you have a healthy baby growing inside you). We found out I had a fibroid (benign tumor on my ovary) that appeared with pregnancy. For those of you who’ve never heard of a fibroid, it is similar to a cyst. Some people have one or more, and a lot of times you don’t realize you have one until you have your first ultrasound during pregnancy. Fibroids can come and go depending on hormones, but they are also hereditary, which is funny since my mom had them during her pregnancies. The good news is that they usually aren’t dangerous, however, depending on their location, they can potentially cause some issues that require monitoring throughout your pregnancy. Fortunately, my fibroid is located in a spot that is not dangerous, which is encouraging since it likely won’t take up much room from the baby during growth. On the flip side, one thing that you will realize if you ever encounter a similar discovery during your pregnancy, is that the fibroid grows with the baby, lol (which can cause some pain and discomfort). I feel like my fibroid has it’s own little life in there. Sorry if this is TMI, but it’s the real deal. The answer is yes, it can cause pain and it does hurt me from time to time, however, the doctors have told me many women experience this and it is nothing to be overly cautious about. But just like anything else, it does need to be checked via ultrasound every four weeks as a precaution to ensure the baby is safe. Luckily, this has afforded me more opportunities to see our little girl! Besides that, all is well and the second trimester has been such a magical time (even when she elbow or kicks me in the bladder and I almost pee my pants). I know the pregnant ladies out there know exactly what I am talking about. 🙂
BUMPDATE & Stretch Mark Prevention
Some of my biggest concerns going into pregnancy were the stories I had heard about stretch marks. I have been asked multiple questions about what I use to help prevent stretch marks after I posted my real life bump to Instagram. I have been overjoyed with the product that I have been using and has worked wonders to this point. I use vitamin E oil from Trader Joes every single night before I go to bed. I have lathered it all over my belly since the day I found out I was pregnant. So far I have not experienced stretch marks using this consistently, however, I heard even if you don’t see stretch marks during pregnancy, they can always show up postpartum. I guess we will just have to wait and see what this baby girl gifts me with post birth.
Fashion
Ah, October, how I love you. I am a libra baby for a reason. This is truly my favorite month when it comes to outdoor activities, walks, food, weather and fashion. There is nothing I love more than a pair of jeans or leather leggings with boots, plaid shirts, sunnies & a really good sweater dress. Some news: I am going to share some holiday looks with you guys coming up, with the help from one of my favorite stores. So stay tuned for the try on haul. The best part about these outfits is that they are not tailored to only pregnant mamas, as they can be worn by those of you sporting a bump, or without one! I am so excited to share these outfits with you. Keep an eye out on my Instagram story over the next few weeks to see what we have in store. Here are the outfit details from my birthday below.

Have a balanced weekend!
